Pond and Stream

Gardeners Best Don't we all just love to play in the dirt get our fingers deep into the soil My husband is always saying "I can't believe you touched that" Well geez, it's just dirt ! We get so much enjoyment out of our pond. We especially like to watch the frogs that sit around the edge waiting for whatever bugs manage to fly past them. The fish are fun to feed.     They are always just a little shy in the spring but get friendlier as time goes on. We also like to watch the birds especially when they decide to  take a bath in the stream.    They are so cute. Then, once it gets warmer . . ..  the hummingbirds and butterflies come to visit. The hummers are so cute to watch.  They are friendly and happy creatures.   I can't believe how fast they move.

Testing new Canon Rebel 7

We took a walk along the Susquehanna River one beautiful day last week.    I wanted to take some photos with my new camera. We didn't think that we'd have time so I didn't take along my telephoto lens.   However, we did have time to stop at one place along the way home. I saw this eagle touring the river and decided to try a photo with a regular lens on a landscape setting.   Once I had the photo on my computer, I was able to blow it up this much before losing total focus. It's a learning curve but from now on, I will just take along the whole shebang so that I'm prepared.
