Towards the End of the Year . .. ..

Root's Farm Market 2018 Christmas Fair Saturday, November 17 It was a fun day !     I had many compliments on my quilts.   One serious woman looking but she had to think about it.    I gave her my card. As far as soaps, I did okay.    Gave out some business cards and had a lot of fun answering questions.      I will proceed on my soapmaking journey.     Melt and pour is easy but not as challenging as Cold Process Soap. ... perhaps I will post my journey on here and link my facebook page to my blog, won't that just be so much fun ! Hopefully my vacation will give me lots of ideas. I hope everyone's Thanksgiving Holiday was fantastic and that no one burned out on Black Friday. I avoided Black Friday and will celebrate Thanksgiving with my family tomorrow.

Garden Dreaming

I got home from errands today to find my first gardening catalog for the season.    This makes me happy !   It's wonderful to think about the vegetable garden.   I want to try several new items this year but have determined not to plant a large amount of any one thing. I have a freezer full of veggies but none of them interest me.   Usually, I freeze things in Ziplock bags but last summer I bought a little machine to air seal everything.   Unfortunately, I don't think that vegetables froze in the Ziplock bags were tastier than those that were air sealed.

Happy Quilting

Image
This beautiful block quilt was fun to make.  This photo is before I pinned the quilt together with it's backing and quilt layer.    Gifted to my sister in Dec 2016. Notice the beautiful bed and nightstands that my husband made for our bedroom.
