Star Quilt

Image
This star quilt measures 74 X 89 It is a cotton quilt fabric with a black background I do not do hand quilting on most of my quilts. It just takes to much time I have a tabletop quilt machine which is fantastic If you like a lot of stitching this machine is the way to go I started out hating stars but I have gotten much better at them. You can see by the back how much stitching actually gets done.

FUSCHIA QUILT 84 x 84

How about that for a wake up ! The hot pink fabric on the back actually looks great with the quilted fabric.   It doesn't exactly match but it does blend.

The bread that ate my house . . or at least my kitchen mixer. !

Oh yeah, just for the heck of it, I'm posting this . . . the bread dough that tried to take over my kitchen while I was soaping in another room. Just not fair,  it could have yelled for help, couldn't it !

Gearing up to go back to work !

I've been gearing up to go back to work at Groff's Plant Farm in Kirkwood, PA.   Not as full-time as previously but a couple days a week.   I love the place.   Best place in the area to buy annuals, herbs, perennials & shrubs.    I have to admit, I pretty much spend about a quarter of my paycheck there.    I try to limit it to 10% but . . . .. .  l don't always succeed.  On the off days, I quilt, photo quilts, post soaps on L Maurer Creations on Etsy or L Maurer Creations on Facebook. It's quite amazing the time it takes to get all this stuff going.      Even so, I'm "totally" looking forward to the summer and the garden.    Quilts are my winter garden and flowers are for the summer.  I will be posting each quilt in a different post.  That's probably the easiest way to go. Happy reading ! Linda
