Lonestar Quilt



This LoneStar quilt was fun to make.   It took me awhile because I kept getting distracted with other designs.

Piece or quilt . ... . . piece or quilt. . . . .

I keep 3 or 4 quilts going at a time so I don't get to bored with one.

Garden Dreaming

I got home from errands today to find my first gardening catalog for the season.    This makes me happy !   It's wonderful to think about the vegetable garden.   I want to try several new items this year but have determined not to plant a large amount of any one thing. I have a freezer full of veggies but none of them interest me.   Usually, I freeze things in Ziplock bags but last summer I bought a little machine to air seal everything.   Unfortunately, I don't think that vegetables froze in the Ziplock bags were tastier than those that were air sealed.

A Queen Size Quilt created from a series in McCalls Quilting Magazine.     I started this quilt making the individual blocks as they appeared in the magazine in 2011. At that time, my quilt stash was limited and I used what I had. . .  I love the colors.   It is hand-quilted.
